Founded in 1980, Carmel Glass & Mirror began as a small, family-owned business with a vision to deliver exceptional glass and mirror solutions to the local community. Over the years, our unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction has allowed us to grow and evolve, becoming a leading provider of custom glass and mirror products.
Our Journey Through the Decades
1980s: The Early Years
Our journey began just down the street from our current location with a focus on residential glass services, including window repairs and auto glass, along with custom mirror installations. Que images of the 80’s full length wall to wall mirrors and lots of gold! Through hard work and a dedication to excellence, we quickly earned a reputation for our meticulous craftsmanship and personalized service.
1990s: Expansion and Innovation
As demand for our services grew, so did our offerings. We grew to three central Indiana locations until we neared the end of the decade and consolidated to our current showroom and warehouse space. The 1990s saw the introduction of shower doors and heavy glass enclosures. Our first frameless shower display can still be found in our showroom today. We built our product knowledge and put a focus on our people. A point of pride is that almost a quarter of our current workforce was hired in the ’90s! That’s longevity and a testament to our great team!
2000s: Strengthening Our Expertise
With a solid foundation and a loyal customer base, the 2000s were a period of honing our expertise and further expanding our product range, while embracing technology. We quickly expanded our office and showroom space and brought more innovative designs to the market as bathrooms took center stage in home spaces. New trends in custom glass options, such as glass railings and decorative glass, have been enhanced and we can more quickly meet production needs with our in house fabrication space.
2020s: Celebrating 44 Years
Amid the 2020 pandemic, we transitioned from our founders to the second generation of family leadership. We are proud to have retained all our team members and move forward with new equipment, fresh innovation, and the same foundation of excellence. As we celebrate our 44th anniversary, we look back with pride at the milestones we’ve achieved and are excited about the future.
